Boasting features that were not available on the old pier, destroyed in 2004 by Hurricane Ivan, the Gulf State Park Pier offers features such as indoor seating for concession area, indoor retail area for tackle and souvenirs, comfort stations at the midpoint of the pier (seen in picture above) and wheelchair accessible rail fishing. The new pier has 2,448 feet of fishing space available along the rails.
Pier office and bait shop hours are 6am until 6pm. The pier is open 24 hours and has an honor box to pay fees after hours.
