The beach pavilion provides picnic tables and shaded relaxation when it's time to step out of the warm, glorious sunshine. An onsite nature center, butterfly garden, and marine education center on the fishing pier provide the kiddos with excellent learning opportunities. In Gulf State Park, water activities are not regulated to the Gulf. Lake Shelby day-use area offers kayaking and canoeing. If you'd like to pedal and explore the land a big, the park also features miles of biking on the Backcountry Trail.
