There will be no Hangout Music Fest or Sand in my Boots Festival in Gulf Shores in 2026, the city's mayor announced Monday, December 8th, 2025.
Due to an unusual year for the event and because the decision to host the event again was delayed too long. The application to be able to get the kind of acts that the city required the festival producers to have to be successful in 2026 could not promise this could happen so the city canceled the 2026 event.
The 2027 event has already been approved and everyone is looking forward to another succesful music fest that happened in 2025.
