Flora-Bama Mullet Triathlon Course
The Flora-Bama Mullet Triathlon has proved to be a favorite event of the Annual Interstate Mullet Toss®, now in its 24th year. Featuring a 1.4-mile swim in the Ole River, a 16.5-mile bike roundtrip ride to Perdido Key, and a 3.9-mile run back to Flora-Bama restaurant, this triathlon challenges the fittest and attracts participants from all around the region. A portion of the registration proceeds goes to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

- Athena for women weighing 145lbs or more
- Clydesdale for men weighing 200 lbs or more
- Super Clydesdale for men weighing 225 lbs or more
- The Fat Tire for those riding a fat tire or mountain bike
- First Timers for those who have never done a triathlon before
What is the Flora-Bama Mullet Toss?
The legendary Interstate Mullet Toss is an annual event that brings thousands to the Florida - Alabama border. During the mullet toss, contestants throw a dead mullet (fish) from Florida across the state line into Alabama. $15 entry fee to toss a mullet.
