Singing team Brooks & Dunn will perform at the Wharf Amphitheater on Saturday, Oct. 9.
A country music duo consisting of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, both vocalists and songwriters, were solo recording artists prior to their partnership.
Having recorded numerous studio albums and compilation albums, Brooks & Dunn has released 50 singles, 20 of which went to the No. 1 spot on the Hot Country Songs charts and 19 more reaching the Top 10.
The duo’s songs are known for its honky-tonk, mainstream country and rock influences. Their 1992 single “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” helped re-popularize line dancing in the United States, and their 2001 hit “Only in America” was used by both George W. Bush and Barack Obama in their respective presidential campaigns.
The duo retired in August 2009 to pursue solo careers but reunited in 2015 for a series of concerts with Reba McEntire in Las Vegas. In 2019, the duo was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
At OWA, you’ll also want to book your tickets to the Legends in Concert tribute artists show, where you might see “Reba” herself among other performers you’re sure to recognize.
As part of Phase 2 construction at OWA, a 65,000-square-foot, indoor, retractable roof waterpark is being built. It will not only be the largest of its kind on the Gulf Coast but will also include a retractable wall that opens from the indoor waterpark to the adjacent outdoor park.
Bring the family to Orange Beach for a concert and more fun. Stay in an amply sized, private beach house for maximum enjoyment of family time.
