Description

Tradewinds #403 is an interior gulf-front 1 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 4th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 800 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living area. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. There are 2 full baths. The master has an en suite bathroom with standalone shower. The hall bath has a tub/shower combo. This unit has a 1 car limit. King, Twin, Twin, Sofa sleeper, Birthing bunk. Sleeps 6

Tradewinds is a 14 story building located in Orange Beach about 5.4 miles East of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Tradewinds has an indoor/outdoor swim-thru pool. The property also has a barbecue grilling area.

NOTE: Pool is under construction until May 1, 2024.

The Condo was very neat and clean. I think the fixtures in the bathroom, like the toilet seat could use an upgrade. Enjoyed the keyless entry. Very convenient. The onlycomplaint I have is with the Security. While I don't have a problem with anyone doing their job, this person seemed to take it a bit too far, to the point of making guests feel uncomfortable and taking away from the quality of the Condominium. For example, the security lady named Betty White seemed to go too far. One evening, she had her personal SUV parked at the entrance with her trunk up where she sat. She was checking cars as they pulled into the parking lot! I had a parking pass that she hand wrote for me for $30, but I didn't drive with it in the windshield so to me, that was harrassment. I was informed by the office that there was a one car minimum for our condo and I was prepared to park our 2nd car in the Premium parking lot down the street. However, when I saw Ms White making her rounds, I asked her about an additional pass and that's when she said she could sell me one for $30 that she hand wrote on the back of a piece of paper. Anyway, i just feel that tenants should feel welcome and not like you're constantly being watched by some over zealous parking attendant!

Furniture needed to be repaired. No bedside table on one side of bed. Closets were stuffed with junk so couldn’t store a suitcase in closet. Dishes and gLasses were all mismatched. Not to mention We had to wash the dishes before we used them after finding several dirty glasses. And, I stepped on several burrs on the living room carpet. The sliding glass fire was filthy and you could barely see out one side I found the place to not be worth the amount we paid to stay there. I have pictures if needed.

The beach front was nice and even with the on/off rain we still enjoyed the area. Our condo floors were dirty from the start. The bathrooms needed some TLC. Like the shower caulking needed replacing and deep cleaning. We’re glad we took our own sheets (have never done that before) just in case cleaning might be an issue due to housekeeping issues. We did have plenty of towels for our week long stay. We would not stay in that same condo a second time.

Manager's Response

We are able to send another housekeeping team to address and alleviate any issues with housekeeping, if we are notified. There is no question our units have taken a beating this busy season. Units are deep cleaned in the off season and this unit is definitely on the list. We have taken special note of the area the guest referred to so we can ensure it is addressed.

This condo was perfect for us! Everything was clean and in great working condition. We had a balcony that overlooked the beach. It was in a central location to Walmart, Starbucks, and seafood places. We highly recommend!
