The Poarch Band of Creek Indians just announced the new entertainment complex in Foley, Alabama will be called "Owa." Owa, which is a Creek word meaning "big water" is a 520-acre project located at the corner of Foley Beach Express and Baldwin County Road 20 and will include shopping, lodging and theme park. This Complex will be closely related to the Foley Sports Tourism Complex, which hopes to attract large sporting tournaments. The state-of-the-art Foley Sports Tourism Complex boasts 16 fields and 90,000 sq. ft. indoor events center. Click here to view the YouTube video of the Owa entertainment complex concept.
