If ice cream is what you crave, then Gulf Shores has it. We have many great ice cream shops in the Gulf Shores / Orange Beach area, but recently two well-known shops on Gulf Shores Parkway are doing some major renovations.
Scoops Ice Cream, a classic ice cream parlor located at 601 Gulf Shores Parkway (just north of Papa Rocco’s), has a 25-year tradition of generous servings at reasonable prices. They serve quality ice cream, fat-free/sugar-free, ice cream cakes, Ben and Jerry pints and dipped cones.
Matt’s Ice Cream is the only homemade ice cream shop in the area. Matt’s features 40 flavors ranging from basic to the creative – cones, cups, floats, spirits, shakes and not to mention, Old Fashion Sodas. Matt’s currently has two locations in Gulf Shores – 1308 Gulf Shores Parkway and 701 Gulf Shores Parkway. The 1308 location is doing some major renovations too.
Both Scoops Ice Cream and Matt’s Ice Cream are being remodeled and should be ready for the spring/summer season here on the Alabama Beaches along the Gulf Coast of Alabama.
